Tell Me More

What’s The RunAthon?

The King Runathon is an important annual fundraiser for our school. Last year we raised almost $50,000 for programs not covered by public school funds like writing coaches, the school library, parent education, field trips, the Edible School Yard, and more!

How do Students participate?

Students collect pledges from family, friends, neighbors. At the Runathon students run as many laps as they can during PE. Students not able to run have other opportunities to participate. Afterward the Runathon students collect donations from their sponsors to support King.

Are there prizes?

All participants who do 10 or more laps (or who help in other ways) are entered into a prize drawing. Students receive additional entries as they collect more sponsors. Students also receive prizes based on effort, good sportsmanship, and school spirit. The list of prizes is coming soon but expect lots of cool stuff like gift cards to Gioia, Boba, Sports Basement, and more.
